Christopher McDougall is an American journalist and the author best known for his 2009 best-selling book Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe. He began his career as an overseas correspondent for the Associated Press and now lives and writes among the Amish farms around his home in rural Pennsylvania. He’s just published his new book Natural Born Heroes: The Lost Secrets of Strength and Endurance and you can find an excerpt from his latest book in our Issue #5 of LtW.
Run and Q&A with Chris McDougall
We’ve teamed up with Charlie Dark – poet, teacher, runner and leader of the world-renowned RunDemCrew to bring you an exclusive opportunity of joining Chris for a run followed by a Q&A session hosted by Charlie and Simon. And the best thing is that the event is completely FREE!

Event Agenda:
- 17:00 – Arrive at the Proud Archivist
- 17:30 – Go for a group run
- 18:30 – Return from the run
- 19:00 – Talk/Q&A/Interview with Chris
- 20:00 – Book signing + beers and cheers
- 22:00 – Go home!
The run will last around 60 minutes and just be a social event at an easy pace. Afterwards there will be a chance to order dinner at the pub where we will be retiring to catch up with Chris and ask all the burning questions we have for him.
