Christmas is all about giving and not receiving (it’s about Why, not How) so let’s give a helping hand to Nepal this year. If you would like to meet and run with international ultrarunner Lizzy Hawker and do good this Christmas, we’ve got a great opportunity for you to do so on Tuesday 22 December. We’ve teamed up with Lizzy Hawker and Advent Running to host A Christmas Run For Nepal.
The evening will be filled with a social run, talk and Q&A with Lizzy followed by a raffle where you can win some exciting running prizes.
Lizzy lives for part of the year in Kathmandu and has seen the devastating effects of the recent earthquake there first hand. 100% of the benefit for this event will go to a Nepal charity that Lizzy has chosen because they are directly helping people rebuild their lives by distributing solar lights in the Manaslu region.
Places are limited so if you would like to meet Lizzy on Tuesday 22 December, make sure you get your ticket HERE now! Ticket includes 1 raffle ticket – more can be bought at the door.

Lizzy Hawker
Over the years, Lizzy has found the courage to challenge herself in many ways and has held the world record for 24 hours on road as well as being the 100 km World Champion in 2006. She is a 5 time winner of The North Face Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc and in 2013 set a new world record running from Everest Base Camp to Kathmandu. This resulted in Lizzy being named the National Geographic Adventurer of the Year in 2013.
Lizzy says:
“For me, the most important thing is to run simply for the love of it, with heart and soul as well as head and legs. And then to follow the path that opens up.”
You can find out more about Lizzy on her website , follow her on Twitter or watch our video interview with her

To reward runners for their efforts and to keep them motivated they give away a daily prize for to the best photo, video or blog. They have some great prizes including a ‘money can’t buy’ place at the London Marathon courtesy of Adidas UK to give away on Christmas day.
LtW #7 will be there
As well as having Lizzy Hawker talking about life, running and how the two meet, we will also have a few boxes of the latest edition of Like the Wind magazine – issue #7 – recently released and available to purchase, as well as Like the Wind raffle prizes.
