We are hugely grateful to the contributors that help us make each edition of the magazine. Without their imagination and generosity LtW wouldn’t exist. Our thanks go out to the writers, but also to the illustrators who create the beautiful images that accompany our stories.
Speaking of illustrators, we recently spoke to Wisconsin-based illustrator, Whitney Salgado, whose work was featured in Issue #7 of the magazine. We had a chat with her about what motivates her to run as well as what makes her illustrations unique.
LTW: Why do you run?
WS: Running helps me to clear my mind and focus on myself in the present.
LTW: What’s special about your work?
WS: I would describe it as colorful and fun because I like to experiment constantly, so you never know what you’ll get in the end.
LTW: What would your ultimate adventure be?
WS: I personally really enjoy hiking or camping, so anytime when I can be out there on my own and exploring would be fantastic.
LTW: Do you have a favourite running quote?
WS: “If it’s important, you’ll find a way. If it’s not, you’ll find an excuse.”
