Like the Wind have returned from Chamonix where for the second year running we launched the latest edition of the magazine. And what a week it was! We were treated to some fantastic weather, brilliant running and successfully launched Issue #10 of the magazine at our after-party which supported by Stance and Strava.
Our time in the Alps kicked off with a shake-out run with Strava, where we were joined by leading lights of the French trail running scene, Julien Chorier and Thomas Lorblanchet, and UTMB first timer Claudia Schroegel who having completed TDS the previous year was back for the big one. A great q&a followed, along with refreshments, a quick photoshoot and then a dash to get of the sun!

Some exciting racing took place over the UTMB weekend. It was inspiring watching all 5 of the races which were run in some challenging conditions – from blazing sun to storms and heavy rain! We watched the PTL, OCC, TDS, CCC and finally the UTMB over the course of our stay and congratulate both those who finished along with those who toed the line. There were some inspirational stories shared over the course of the weekend, some of which we imagine we will be sharing with you in due course.
Once more we decided to launch the latest issue of the magazine in Chamonix – with such a beautiful setting and the leading lights of the trail running scene in town, how could we pass up on the opportunity! We were joined at the Bighorn restaurant for the launch of Issue #10 of the magazine, again joined by Strava, and friends of the magazine STANCE Socks who shared their latest season Fusion Run range on the night.
Our thanks to everyone involved – our supporters Strava and Stance – and mostly to all of your runners that attended the party and ran your hearts out in the mountains. As ever, it was inspirational joining you for the weekend and we doff our Like the Wind Trucker Caps to one and all who participated!
