Ten years ago, Like the Wind co-founders Julie and Simon were strolling through Chamonix town centre as the sun set on the Sunday at the end of the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. As they basked in the great feeling of having introduced the first editions of LtW to the trail running world, they started wondering why there wasn’t a party taking place for all the runners who’d spent the week competing in some of the most epic trail races on the planet.

Julie and Simon thought that if they craved hanging out with fellow runners, quenching their thirst, eating some good food and swapping tales, there would be others with the same idea. So it was fortuitous that at that very moment, Simon and Julie met Hannah and the team who had just opened the Bighorn Bistro in Chamonix Sud. Hannah said she’d welcome runners. Simon and Julie said they would bring some.

That night there was a party – during which every pint of beer in the bar was drunk, stories were told and friendships forged. And that was the start of a relationship between LtW and the Bighorn which over a decade has blossomed. Now the Like the Wind Summer Party at the Bighorn is a legendary night.

And you are all welcome.
