We are a unique running magazine made by runners, for runners. 116 pages of running stories, illustrated features and stunning photography. It’s not how to run, it’s #WhyWeRun.
Overview:
As we reach the milestone of ten editions of Like the Wind magazine, we have decided to change – a little. We listened to your feedback and many of you asked for more in-depth pieces. So as well as fabulous submissions from our contributors, the team have designed several new ‘featured’ articles for your reading pleasure.
- In ‘Running on Empties‘ we look at the way that runners’ relationship with frothy brews has changed over the years.
- We explore the fascinating world of running tattoos in ‘Ink that Runs‘ and thank our many readers for their submissions.
- And in ‘Your Cheatin’ Heart‘ we investigate how technology has changed the chances that those taking a short cut will be caught.
In other contributions, Natalie Dollin changes cities as regularly as other runners change their socks, using running as the way to orientate herself. Marcus Ryder finds himself in a strange city where he doesn’t speak the language, but the runners he encounters help to smooth the transition to a new life.
Like the Wind: a running magazine with real stories from real runners, without gloss or filters – basically, it’s #WhyWeRun.
Because Like the Wind is a good old ink-and-paper title, there are a limited number of copies. When they are gone, they’re gone forever. Furthermore, the magazine is skill-fully printed on uncoated FSC accredited paper. We care at least as much for the planet as we do for running on its surface.
